Description |
This study aims to identify the principals of Bisha schools contribution extent in building the knowledge society and knowing the differences of some variables . To achieve the aims of the study, the researcher used the descriptive approach . The tool of the study is a questionnaire, which developed . The tool was consisted, finally, from ( 35 ) items distributed in four trusted fields . The society of the study consists of ( 385 ) person who represent two categories . First category is ( 235 ) teachers, while the second is ( 150 ) supervisors . The sample of the study is ( 30 ) person . After collecting data and analyzing it, the findings of the study showed the average of the extent of contribution of the principals of Bisha schools in building the knowledge society in " average " degree . The mean reached ( 2 .94 ) with standard deviation reached ( 0 .948 ) . Principals' contribution extent in building the knowledge society in the field of knowledge acquisition became in the first position with a mean of ( 2 .95 ) and with " average " degree . The field of spreading and sharing knowledge came in the second position with mean of ( 2 .90 ) and with " average " degree . The field of generating knowledge came in the third position with mean of ( 2 .86 ) and with " average " degree . Finally, the field of learning and teaching techniques came in the fourth position with mean of ( 2 .72 ) and with " average " degree . There are no differences of statistical significance on the level of significance ( =0 .05 ) between the average of the response of the persons of the study sample to estimate the principals' contribution extent in building the knowledge society attribute to the description of all fields ( knowledge acquisition, knowledge generation, spreading and sharing knowledge, and learning and teaching techniques ) . Also, There are no differences of statistical significance on the level of significance ( a=0 .05 ) between the average of the response of the persons of the study sample to estimate the principals' contribution extent in building the knowledge society attribute to the variable of experience years .Given that the findings of the study, analyzing and discussing the findings, the current recommendations of the study are represented in : cooperating with the professional associations and companies to organize scientific trips for students, giving valuable awards and presents to the teachers and students, conducting researches which lead to development and supporting creativity, in addition to, activate the role of the course of the library, research and educational resources to train students to conduct researches as per the scientific methods, adding the educational plan to the program of the preparation of the teacher of courses that cope with the nature of the roles that is imposed by the knowledge society, preparing qualified personnel, building good data base to be a main pillar to be benefited in generating and spreading knowledge, activate the role of social partnership, getting benefit of the effective items in organizing seminars and meetings to share ideas and spreading knowledge, getting benefit of the educational resources and computer labs in the schools to train the students and teachers to use these devices and get information and finally, illustrate the aspects of the usage of the religious, bank, cultural and research internet and end the electronic treatments in many governmental departments .
